Why ruckus on Modi’s best ever expression of statesmanship?

Modi ReutersGandhinagar, July 13: Modi’s interview to Reuters is an ultimate articulation by a social activist who has attributed major years of his life to understand the social psyche of India and a politician who has well empathised his ‘Raj Dharma’. That’s why Modi told Reuters the philosophy of the Bharatiya Janata Party -‘Justice to all; Appeasement to none.’ “This is our secularism”, Modi told.

The brouhaha on Modi’s interview to one of the respected international media house depicts that the stake holders of Secularism in India and panicked Congress party and a brigade of anti Modi media persons appears to have caught with a phobia of Narendra Modi. Anything Modi says, some particular people and parties spend no time to react over it and try to portray Modi as a demon surprisingly ignore the Supreme Court judgments and orders in which Modi was dragged to make a culprit.

Instant attack on Modi’s interview is a classic example of such a nervous mentality of the frustrated dynastic Congress party who has now realized that the much hyped Gandhi scion is no more a person to project as a PM. That’s why it is rushing to a hasty implementation of the half cooked ‘Food ordinance bill’ and flaring the advertisements.

Similarly some elements in Indian Media who over the years spent prime airtime to demean and demonise Modi using a gang of so called secularist comrades and rights activists, are not in a mood to let their guns loose triggered on Modi to whom the people of Gujarat voted for third consecutive time as their CM. The same activists who are now facing wrath of Indian people for their blunders of using foreign funds to create ruckus against the RSS, BJP, Modi and anything coloured Saffron.

In his definitely aggressive and candid interview to the Reuters, Modi showed his firmness to overthrow the venomous criticism on him.

On a question on who is the real Modi, the Gujarat CM said, “I’m nationalist. I’m patriotic. Nothing is wrong. I’m a born Hindu. Nothing is wrong. So, I’m a Hindu nationalist so yes, you can say I’m a Hindu nationalist because I’m a born Hindu. I’m patriotic so nothing is wrong in it.”

This answer should be seen as a confidant and positive response by the BJP leader who himself, his fellow party workers and his Party, the BJP have been systematically made ‘politically untouchable’ for years. Modi’s this articulation has a potential to change all political calculations. The responses on social media and many political parties are evident of that.

Narendra Modi, who with his work has changed the issues in political debates, clarified that there’s no contradiction between a progressive, development-oriented, workaholic CM and a Nationalist and patriotic Indian. Shading his tailor-made image as a fanatic religious leader, Modi was accurate saying that religion should not be an instrument in any democratic process. He cleared his philosophy that all the citizens, all the voters are his countrymen and that’s why he never addresses the issue of religion and politics like dividing people on religion. Modi said dividing citizen on the basis of religion is dangerous to democracy.

Not sparing a single word on the Congress party or any individual Modi answered to the question on performance of next government.

The proved champion of Deliverance, Narendra Modi said, “Government comes to power, it would need to give people confidence, it should build the trust in people, “yes, in policies there will be consistency”, if they promise people something, they will honor that promise, they will fulfil. Then you can position yourself globally.”

The questions asked during the Reuters interview to Modi are evident that now situation has changed and a section in mainstream Indian Media should now choose new issues to chew. The same old ‘allegation-journalism’ has no place in coming socio-political scenario. This is the message to the propagandists’ mentality in media and in politics that immediately started beating around the bush with creating hullabaloo on a single word ‘Puppy”.

The political wisdom also suggests that gone are the days to humiliate political opponents by criticizing below the belt, terming them as, ‘Maut ka saudagar’ and ‘Yamraj’.

Even none other than the interviewer Sruthi Gotipatti, one of the two Reuters journalists who had taken the interview has said that Modi’s interview is misinterpreted. Sruthi Gotipatti tweets: “Modi’s remarks poorly contexualised in Today’s papers and TV debates last night.” Alas, this tweet is now deleted and the Interviewer is encouraging readers to read the original interview once again.

A lame effort has been made by ‘some’ to create chaos, dejecting the main discussion in the interview. While a large section praising the candidness of Modi for the manifestation of his best ever political wisdom and statesmanship.

“People are best judge”! Tweets Narendra Modi, who knows this from a long time!
